David Hubalik - Head of School

Head of School
Mr. Hubalik serves BASIS San Antonio Medical Center after eight years with the BASIS family. In all, he has served the communities in Scottsdale, Flagstaff, Peoria, Mesa and finally found his home at BASIS San Antonio Medical Center. Mr. Hubalik began his time at BASIS as a Teacher at BASIS Scottsdale teaching both the 5th grade and AP curriculum. Since then, Mr. Hubalik has worked to open BASIS Flagstaff and BASIS Mesa, and spent time with BASIS Peoria, while serving as a School Director, Head of Operations, and finally as a Head of School. Mr. Hubalik brings with him the knowledge of the business and academic sides of the school allowing him to work with his team to incorporate data into the academic program. Though in the management role for some time, the role of teacher is still a large part of who he is, and he has helped lead two teams at two schools to regional championships that have advanced to the National Science Bowl in Washington D.C.

Mr. Hubalik earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Arizona State University and Masters of Business Administration from Benedictine University. As Head of School for BASIS San Antonio Medical Center, Mr. Hubalik partners with students, parents, community leaders, and other BASIS educators to help students prepare for and embrace a life full of opportunity. He feels fortunate to have joined the San Antonio community with his wife Sarah and his two children Kieran and Charlotte.
Jennifer Meredith - Head of Operations

Jennifer Meredith came to BASIS San Antonio Medical Center in 2013 in its opening year. As Head of Operations, she manages the facilities, operations, logistics, accounting/finance, human resources, project management and event planning. Although she works closely with the staff and faculty, you can see her helping students with lockers, planning dances and running the Annual Teacher Fund. Jennifer has extensive experience in human resources and operations management. She managed a contracting company for 9 years as the HR/Office Manager and worked in the medical field in finance prior to that. Jennifer loves to help in all aspects of the school to include working with the Academic Team. She feels it is important to have a hand in all aspects of the school to coordinate successful operations. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Texas Women’s University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas.

Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, John and 2 daughters, Hayley and Brooke in the Texas Hill Country where she resides. She loves taking on DIY projects to include fixing up the home she recently purchased as a full remodel/restoration.
Charles Ross - Director of Student Affairs

Charles Ross came to BASIS in 2013 as an English teacher after eight years of teaching in the Northside Independent School District. In 2014 he took on the role of Director of Student Affairs for BASIS San Antonio North Central™ , before transitioning into his current role as Director of Student Affairs at BASIS San Antonio Medical Center™.

Mr. Ross is a life-long lover of education and learning. Growing up with parents who both taught at the university level, he has lived in college towns his entire life, from College Station, Texas to Madison, Wisconsin. He currently resides in San Antonio with his three children.

Mr. Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and after college became a certified teacher in the state of Texas. He loves working with the students at BASIS, & is a strong advocate for the high academic standards and personal responsibility that BASIS instills. In his spare time, Mr. Ross is usually pursuing his life-long love of music. He holds certifications in Sound and Audio Engineering. When he is not working with BASIS students, he can sometimes be spotted playing open mics around San Antonio. Other hobbies include watching classic movies at the Alamo Drafthouse, reading for pleasure, & strolling through the zoo with his kids.
Quincy Boyd - Director of Academic Programs

Director of Academic Programs

Quincy Boyd is a San Antonio native and is thrilled to return home to join the BASIS San Antonio Medical Center™, as the Director of Academic Programs.

Prior to BASIS, she served in many capacities at school districts across Texas to include her roles as a teacher, college counselor and campus administrator.

Quincy also brings three years of college admissions experience from Harvard University. She truly believes in what it means to be a lifelong learner and works endlessly to develop that mindset in her students. She has a strong conviction that with support and planning, all BASIS San Antonio Medical Center™ students will matriculate to their best-fit university of choice.

Quincy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin and her Masters of Education from Harvard University. She enjoys spending time with friends, family, and most of all, her husband Gerald. Some of her favorite spare time activities are to attend church, exercise, shop, try new restaurants, and complete DIY projects. She is truly honored to be a part of the BASIS schools and looks forward to working with the BASIS San Antonio Medical Center™ community.
